As the fall season quickly approaches, now is the perfect time to start looking for home fall decor ideas! When you invite your guests for dinner this season, would you like them to be welcomed with the perfect fall home aesthetic that will put them in the autumn mood? If so, this cozy home decor project is for you. The best part is it can be used for your front door, book shelf, your front porch, or anywhere else you think it’ll add some fall home aesthetic to your grace-filled home.

Fall home supplies
You’ll only need a few budget friendly supplies to make this DIY project.
- Wooden sign that says “home” (you can find this at a local dollar or craft store)
- Autumn color paint (pick your favorite)
- Gold paint
- Small fall colored faux flowers
- Faux greenery
- Cardboard
- Paint brush
- Hot glue gun

Step-by-step
1. Paint sign
Paint your sign with your favorite autumn color (we used an autumn shade of orange). Once painted, let it dry. We recommend doing two coats on each side, letting each side dry before moving on to the other.

2. Outline Letters
Once the paint is dry on both sides of the sign, very carefully outline each of the letters with the gold paint, and then let it dry.

3. Add Flowers & Greenery
Take your choice of flowers and greenery and hot glue them along the top left corder of the sign (be careful not to use too much glue).

Start with less, and add more as desired.

Adding darker autumn colors can help contrast lighter colors like white or off-white (see picture below).
Your fall home sign is done!
Congratulations! You’re now ready to grace your guests with your very own fall home decor sign! Also repurpose this design for other holidays like Christmas or New Years Day, or invite some friends over for a craft-filled afternoon!
