Here is what you’ll need to complete this sunflower craft idea:
- 1o yards yellow tulle
- 10 yards black tulle
- Floral wire
- Sign of your choice (choose a size that will fit in the center of the wreath)
- Round piece of cardboard (12 inches in diameter)
- Scissors or flathead Screwdriver
- Pair of pliers

Sunflower craft Step-by-step
1. Punch Cardboard
Begin by taking scissors or a flathead screwdriver and punching your cardboard around the boarder of the circle (about 3-4 rows and one single set in the middle). Be careful with these tools (especially if crafting with children). Make sure your motion is moving away from your body, and always ensure your free hand is clear.

2. Cut & Place Wire
Next take your floral wire and cut pieces that are about 2 inches each, putting them through the holes on the outer edge so that the ends of the wire are sticking out on the front of the cardboard.
3. Place Yellow Tulle
Now cut your yellow tulle in 9-10 inch length strips.

Once this is complete, fold two opposite corners of one strip of tulle to the middle, pinching it in the middle with two ends sticking out.

Take your pinched piece of tulle and put the pinched side between the two ends of the wire previously placed in the cardboard. Now twist the wire to tighten the tulle against the cardboard. Use a pair of pliers to completely tighten.

Repeat this process until the entire outer rim is full of yellow tulle.

4. Place Black Tulle
Twist the black tulle into a swirl around the middle of the cardboard using your wire to attach it.

Keep twirling it until it is completely filling the rest of the cardboard and the ends of the yellow tulle.

5. Attach Sign
Now use some floral wire to attach the sign of your choice to the center of the sunflower. We placed it by tying the wire on each side of the sign.

6. Cut Notch/Loop Wire
Once the sunflower is complete, cut a small notch out of the back and top of your cardboard so you can hang it on your door. If you prefer an alternative way to hang the wreath, you can also attach a long piece of looped wire on the top.
Enjoy your sunflower craft!
